New Delhi [India]October 30 (ANI): India on Sunday strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Mogadishu on October 29 that killed several innocent people.
“We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to those injured in the two bombings,” a foreign ministry news release said.

On Saturday, as many as 100 people in Somalia were killed and more than 300 injured after two car bombs exploded near the education ministry in the capital Mogadishu.
The two car bombs exploded near a busy intersection in the capital and near the Ministry of Education, an official in the president’s office said, CNN reported.
Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud claimed in a video statement posted on his official Twitter account that Somalia’s al-Shabaab terror group was responsible for the deadly attack.
“Today’s brutal and cowardly terrorist attack on innocent people by the morally bankrupt and criminal al-Shabaab organization will not stop us, but will further strengthen our resolve to defeat them once and for all,” Mohammed tweeted.
Responsibility for the attack was not immediately claimed, but the Islamist group al-Shabab claimed other recent attacks, CNN reported.
“Our government and brave people will continue to defend Somalia from evil,” Mohammed added.
The Zobe intersection at the intersection took place at the same location as the deadly bombing attack on October 14, 2017, which killed more than 500 people and injured around 300 others.
“By God’s will, October like this will never happen again. They won’t have a chance to do something like this,” Mohammed said, calling Saturday’s attack a repeat of the 2017 bombings.
