New Delhi [India]July 10 (ANI): India on Monday welcomed Muslim World League Secretary-General Mohammad bin Abdulkareem Al Isa.

Al-Isa, a leading voice of moderation and peace advocates, will meet Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval one-on-one in the evening during his six-day visit to India.

At the invitation of the Khusro Foundation, on July 11th at 11am, Al Isa will address prominent religious and community leaders, academics and media at the BS Abdur Rahman Auditorium at the Islamic Cultural Center of India.

National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval will also speak at the meeting. Al-Issa will be in India from July 10-15.

According to sources, Issa is expected to meet Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar and Minister of Minority Affairs Smriti Irani.

He will also meet with the President of ICCR and interact with a group of prominent religious leaders from the Vivekanand International Foundation. According to sources, he may visit the Akshardham Temple and meet some high-profile personalities.

A highlight of his stay in the capital will also be a trip to Delhi’s Jama Masjid for Friday prayers. He also plans to visit Agra.

Notably, Al-Isa was an Islamic scholar and the leading voice of moderate Islam. He is also a promoter of interreligious dialogue and world peace.

He is a famous religious leader, Islamic scholar and reformist in Saudi Arabia. Issa served as justice minister in the Saudi cabinet before being named secretary-general of the Muslim World League in 2016.

As Secretary-General of the Muslim World Federation, an influential NGO representing Muslims around the world, Al Isa has spearheaded initiatives to build partnerships and strengthen relationships between communities, faiths and nations.

He also chairs the Center for Responsible Leadership, a globally influential organization of government, faith, media, business and community leaders working together to address the challenges facing humanity and the world today. (Arnie)
