COLOMBO, Feb. 15 (PTI) — The Visa Processing Center of the High Commission of India in Sri Lanka has announced here on Wednesday that it has temporarily closed due to a security incident reported last night.

The alleged burglary at the visa center prompted the Indian High Commission to shut down visa processing operations, according to police sources.

“Due to the security incident reported last night, the Colombo IVS Pvt. Ltd Visa Application Center will remain closed until further notice,” the delegation said in a statement.

“All applicants are asked to reschedule their appointments with IVS Pvt. Ltd accordingly,” it said.
