LONDON, Dec. 16 (PTI) A nurse of Indian origin from Kerala state was found with her two young children at their home in the Northampton area of eastern England, local police said in a murder investigation on Friday. He was found dead with serious injuries.
Northamptonshire Police said no formal identification had been made but the woman was believed to be Anju Asok, 35, and the children were named Jeeva Saju, six, and Janvi Saju, four.
Police were alerted by friends and family and found them critically injured at Kettering’s home on Thursday.
A 52-year-old man, who has not been identified by police, has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the incident and remains in police custody for questioning.

Detective Inspector Simon Barnes, Northamptonshire Police Senior Investigating Officer, said: “We continue to work around the clock to advance this investigation and establish the timeline of events leading up to these tragic deaths.”

“Anju Asok is an internationally trained nurse who joined our KGH family in 2021, working primarily on our orthopedic ward, Barnwell B,” said Deborah Needham, hospital chief executive.
“She was a devoted and compassionate nurse who was loved and respected by her dear friends and colleagues. All our thoughts are with her friends and family as they come to terms with this sudden loss, “she says.
Sarah Powell, principal of Kettering Park Infant Academy, where the two children attended, said the school was “shocked” by the news of the deaths.
“They were delightful and caring children with many friends at our school. They will be sadly missed by all of us,” Powell said.

Earlier, Northamptonshire Police said officers were not looking for anyone else in relation to the “deeply sad” case.
