WASHINGTON, April 13 (PTI) — The Indian and Indian-American Congressional Caucus has announced a meeting to strengthen the US-India partnership by bringing key stakeholders together.

The conference, to be held at the U.S. Capitol on April 26, has bipartisan support and has gained momentum over the past decade.

“I am pleased that key members of the Indian-American community, senior members of Congress, key government leaders and foreign policy experts will meet on April 26 to develop a comprehensive strategy to strengthen the US-India partnership,” said the Indian-American Congress MP Ro Khanna told PTI.

Connor was the co-chair of the Congressional India Caucus, where he was instrumental in organizing the first-ever India-US meeting of its kind in Congress.

Prominent Indian-Americans from across the country have been invited to the conference.

The new US ambassador to India, Eric Garcetti, was flying back from New Delhi with his Indian counterpart, Taranjit Singh Sandhu, to speak at the event.

Other key players included Deputy Secretary of State Rich Verma, former Defense Secretary James Mattis, and the two co-chairs of the Indian Caucus, Congressmen Ro Khanna and Mike Waltz. PTI / LKJ
