Kuala Lumpur [Malaysia]June 2 (ANI): Foreign Minister V Muraleedharan interacted with the Indian diaspora in Kuala Lumpur on Friday as part of his four-day tour of the two countries.

“Great to engage with Malaysia’s vibrant Indian diaspora during Pravasi Bharatiya Utsav hosted by @hcikl. Commends Indian diaspora’s significant contribution to all walks of life in Malaysia and nurturing India-Malaysia relations,” he tweeted.

MoS V Muraleedharan also participated in a cultural performance organized as part of the ‘Pravasi Bharatiya Utsav’ event.

Sharing photos of the event, the MoS further said: “Brilliant cultural performance by Pravasi Bharatiya Utsav. Kudos to the Temple of Fine Arts Malaysia, Sutra Foundation led by Padma Sri Datuk @Ramli_Ibrahim_7, Sitar Master Samuel Dass and @iccr_hqtroupe Shri Patel Raas Mandali for the wonderful  Performance.”

Minister of State (MoS) Muraleedharan arrived in Malaysia on Wednesday, the final leg of his four-day visit to the two countries. After finishing his trip to Brunei, Murari Dharan arrived in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia.

He met members of the Malaysian Armed Forces Sikh Veterans Association (MAFSVA) in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday, admiring their bravery and courage.

Muraleedharan tweeted: “Great to meet the board members of the Malaysian Armed Forces Sikh Veterans Association (MAFSVA) in Kuala Lumpur. Thank you for their bravery and bravery.”

During his visit, he also met with the heads of the offices of the Netaji Welfare Foundation and the Netaji Service Center. The MoS commended their efforts to preserve the legacy of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose in Malaysia.

MoS also met workers from various sectors in India in Malaysia. He interacted with them on their experiences and assured them of India’s continued commitment to safeguarding their welfare and well-being.

“Great to interact with Indian workers working in various sectors in Malaysia. Discussed their experiences in the workplace and their overall wellbeing. Assured them that the Government of India remains committed to their welfare & wellbeing,” Muraleedharan tweeted.

Earlier in the day, he met members of the All-Malaysian Malay Association (AMMA) in Kuala Lumpur and praised their role in promoting socio-cultural ties between India and Malaysia. MoS tweeted: “Great to meet the committee members of the All Malaysia Malay Association (AMMA) in Kuala Lumpur. Great to hear about AMMA’s various activities in enriching the life of the Malay community in Malaysia.”

“Commendation to their role in promoting socio-cultural ties between India and Malaysia,” MoS added.

MoS also met with the vice-presidents and committee members of the Malaysian India Congress in Kuala Lumpur, thanking them for their continued support in fostering closer ties between the two countries.

“Great to meet @MIC_Malaysia Vice Chairman and Committee Member Hon’ble Datuk Seri M Saravanan in Kuala Lumpur. Thank you for their continued support in fostering closer India-Malaysia ties and active participation in PBD celebrations in India,” MoS tweeted.

He also interacted with committee members of the Malaysian chapter of the World Federation of Malays in Kuala Lumpur. The MoS tweeted: “Great to meet the committee members of the Malaysian chapter of the World Malay Federation in Kuala Lumpur and happy to note their activities to promote the social and professional development of Malayalee NRIs.
