Kathmandu [Nepal]May 25 (ANI): Nepal’s Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who took office last December, is likely to pay a four-day visit to India starting May 31, sources in Nepal’s foreign ministry said. .

“If everything goes according to plan, then Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal will start his visit to India on May 31 and return on June 3,” a Nepalese foreign ministry official with knowledge of the matter told ANI.

Earlier this year, Prachanda announced that he would visit India on his first foreign trip as Nepal’s prime minister.

Foreign ministry spokesman Sewa Lamsal confirmed that the Himalayan country had already started preparations for Dahal’s visit, also known as Prachanda.

An official announcement is expected on Friday or Saturday, officials have confirmed. “The date will be announced by both countries on the same day,” Ramsar told ANI by phone.

During the four-day state visit, Nepal’s prime minister will meet President Drapadi Murmu in the capital and hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Hyderabad Palace.

He said his department was working with other functions to set the agenda for the visit, the publication said.

Finance Minister Prakash Sharan Mahat will present the budget on May 29, the Kathmandu Post reported.

Senior government officials from the Prime Minister’s Office and the Foreign Office told The Washington Post that preparations are underway to finalize agreements and memorandums of understanding and hold groundbreaking ceremonies for some projects. Some agreements are almost final, while others are under consideration.

Prachanda won a vote of confidence in parliament in March after securing the support of the Nepali Congress and some other smaller parties. This is his second test after taking office as Prime Minister of Nepal for the third time on December 26 last year.

Prachanda visited India last July at the invitation of BJP National Chairman JP Nada. Earlier, Dahal visited India after attending the closing ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. In 2016, he visited New Delhi again, his first official visit to India.
