KATHMANDU, May 19 (PTI) Nepal’s Foreign Minister NP Saud met his predecessor on Friday and discussed possible agenda for Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda”‘s visit to India, sources close to the minister said.
Prachanda’s visit to India was postponed three times due to internal reasons.

The visit to India will be his first abroad since his third term as prime minister last December.
Saudi Arabia held consultations with the former foreign minister and former Nepalese ambassador to various countries on Thursday, according to an aide to the Saudi foreign minister.

Issues related to water resources, trade, commerce, borders, tourism and culture were discussed during the meeting, the source said.
Saudi Arabia was sworn in as Nepal’s foreign minister last month.
While no date has been set for the prime minister’s upcoming visit to India, Prachanda is likely to visit India in June after the kingdom submits its budget for the new fiscal year at the end of May, the sources said.
However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not officially announced the date and itinerary of the visit.
Earlier, the government was busy preparing for Prachanda’s visit to India between the second and third week of May.
In July last year, Prachanda visited India at the invitation of Bharatiya Janata Party Chairman Nada.
On December 26 last year, he dramatically withdrew from the pre-election coalition led by the Nepalese Congress and joined hands with opposition leader Sharma Oli to be sworn in as prime minister for the third time.
