The army chief also vowed to rid the country of the scourge of terrorism.
Pakistani army chiefs often celebrate Eid with border soldiers.
Bajaur is located in Malakand, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.
It is home to the outlawed Pakistani Taliban movement (TTP), which has been responsible for rising attacks on officials of the country’s law enforcement agencies.
In November, the TTP canceled an indefinite ceasefire with the government in June 2022 and ordered its militants to carry out attacks on security forces.
Pakistan wanted the Afghan Taliban to stop using their territory against Pakistan by expelling TTP operatives when they came to power, but they apparently refused to do so at the cost of tense relations with Islamabad.
