Khawaja Asif said, “There is a lot of evidence, their people told themselves that they knew about this beforehand,” according to Dawn. He further said: “I feel like his year of struggle… all his plans have failed and this is his last step towards the military.”

Meanwhile, PTI chairman Imran Khan will address the nation at 7pm on Wednesday. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) said on its official Twitter, “Pakistan President Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan has decided to address the nation Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan will address the nation today at 7pm . ”

It is worth mentioning that following the arrest of Imran Khan in Islamabad on May 9, protests broke out across Pakistan.

PTI workers protested in several cities across the country, including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Multan, Peshawar and Mardan.

As part of NAB’s investigation into the Al-Qadir Trust case, the PTI chairman was arrested ahead of the IHC to seek bail in several FIRs registered against him.

The former prime minister, along with his wife Bushra Bibi and other PTI leaders, is facing a NAB investigation in connection with a settlement between the PTI government and the property tycoon, which reportedly cost the state coffers £190m.

Earlier this month, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Pakistani army’s media arm, called the May 9 events a “black chapter” in the country’s history, the Express Tribune reported. The statement in Urdu on Wednesday referred to protests following the arrest of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan. ISPR said the protests had specifically targeted military property and installations.

In a strongly worded statement, the military’s media arm asserted that no one will be allowed to take the law into their own hands. According to news reports, ISPR cited the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) statement and the law to justify the arrest of Pakistan Justice Instigation (PTI) chief Imran Khan.

ISPR said a wave of attacks on army property and facilities, as well as chanting of anti-military slogans, was witnessed following the arrest of Imran Khan. It condemned these actions and expressed concern about the tactics used by some elements of the protest groups.

“soon [Khan’s arrest]organized attacks on army properties and facilities, and raised anti-army slogans,” the military media department said, according to the Tribune. (ANI)
