bag [PoK]June 6 (ANI): Nationalist leader Zulfiqar Haider Raja joined the United Kashmiri People’s National Party (UKPNP) during an event in the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir city of Bagh on Monday.
“With great enthusiasm and warm greetings, the UKPNP would like to extend its heartfelt welcome to Zulfiqar Haider Raja to our party,” UKPNP Central Spokesperson Sardar Nasir Aziz Khan said in a press release.

“We assure him of our unwavering cooperation and full support as we embark on our collective journey towards a better future for the people of Kashmir,” Khan added.

The UKPNP spokesperson further stated, “We firmly believe that his (Raja) joining the UKPNP will be a valuable asset to our party, further strengthening our efforts to serve the people and protect and promote their rights”.
He added: “Besides congratulating Zulfiqar Haider Raja on his decision to join the UKPNP, we would also like to express our sincere thanks to Sardar Ishtiaq Hussain, Amjad Gardaizi, Salma Hamid and every single comrade who played an important role in building this alliance possible. The event in Bagh was also attended by UKPNP Europe President Sardar Amjad Yousaf and UKPNP Canada President Muhammad Riaz Khan.
Shaukat Ali Kashmir, chairman of the UKPNP, which is currently in exile in Switzerland, has been working to protect the human rights of people in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and to raise issues about them at international platforms, including the United Nations. (Arnie)
