Lahore [Pakistan]November 5 (ANI): Pakistani Prime Minister Sheikh Baz Sharif on Saturday slammed Imran Khan for sabotaging state institutions and asked Pakistan’s chief justice to set up a comprehensive court committee to investigate his allegations.

“Imran Niazi has habitually used baseless allegations and lies to spread anarchy. The government has decided to ask the Chief Justice of Pakistan to set up a comprehensive court committee to investigate his allegations. Let people See through his game plan to sabotage state institutions,” tweeted Shehbaz Sharif.

According to ARY News, Shehbaz Sharif sent a letter to the Supreme Court requesting the formation of a full bench to investigate the allegations of PTI head Imran Khan and the investigation into Arshad Sharif’s murder.

He made the remarks at a news conference in Lahore. This comes two days after Imran Khan was shot during the Long March. Shehbaz wished Imran and other injured a speedy recovery, but did not attack Imran Khan for his “false and cheap conspiracy”.

PM Shehbaz also urged the PTI chief to provide evidence to support his allegations. “This attack is reprehensible, however, it is my duty to play an active role in protecting the people as the country is driven to destruction by false narratives,” Shehbaz said.

During the press conference, Shehbaz Sharif played a video showing Imran Khan making statements about the armed forces since 2011. In a strong statement, Shehbaz Sharif said Imran Khan would immediately resign as prime minister if he succeeded in proving he was behind the attack at the Haqeeqi march.

“Imran Khan’s story is full of contradictions. I cannot waste a moment thinking that this man who was given new life by Allah is lying day and night. Today, he is attacking the Pakistani army as the enemy would,” the prime minister said.

In condemning the PTI government, Shehbaz Sharif said: “He has destroyed institutions, the economy and diplomatic relations. I have some secrets buried in my heart about the country’s diplomatic relations and you would be shocked if I shared it. But I will not Speak up because I am faithful. I will not sacrifice Pakistan’s interests for personal gain,” ARY News reported. (ANI)
