World News | “Tibetans must thank the CCP”: China’s appointed Panchen Lama

[ad_1]

Washington [US]Aug. 8 (ANI): Tibetans must thank the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), according to the Chinese-appointed Panchen Lama Gyaltsen Norbu.

According to reports, Norbu made the remarks during a visit to the Tashilhunpo Monastery at the foot of Mount Nisiri on August 2. Last month, Gyaltsen Norbu gave a lecture on the theme of “Sinicization of Tibetan Buddhism” during his visit to Sangding Monastery and Lokha City.

The fact that he chose to travel by “bullet train” to the monastery is part of China’s “development” narrative, according to the Delhi-based Tibetan Rights Collective (TRC).

The visit comes against the backdrop of China’s vaunted claims that it has brought development to Tibet in the form of infrastructure, with no mention of ongoing human rights abuses in Tibet.

The truth and reconciliation commission said Gyazan Norbu’s celebratory visit to the monastery also appeared to emphasize China’s role in controlling Tibetan Buddhism and the Sinicization of Tibet in order to assert its authority over the reincarnation of the Dalai Lama, the spiritual leader of Tibet.

Gyaltsen Norbu said in his speech in Lokha: “Tibetans are the happiest people in the world. Without the Chinese Communist Party, there would be no achievements today, and without the Chinese Communist Party, there would be no bright future. Therefore, we should be grateful to the Party and listen to the Party. If you do, go with the party,” he added.

After the 10th Panchen Lama passed away, the Dalai Lama and his entourage began to look for the reincarnated soul boy of the Panchen Lama. Finally, on May 14, 1995, Gedhun Choekyi Nyima, a 6-year-old boy from Tibet, was identified as the reincarnation soul boy of the 11th Panchen Lama. Panchen Lama.

However, things took a turn for the worse when the 6-year-old boy and his family were kidnapped on May 17.

Tibetans have not seen a photo of their 11th Panchen Lama for nearly 27 years. According to the Tibetan Human Rights Association, Chinese officials have only shown the world that Gedhun Choekyi Nyima and his family are doing well.

The last Panchen Lama, the tenth Panchen Lama, remained in the area after a rebellion broke out between Tibetan and Chinese officials. While he was in the area, he filed a 70,000-word petition with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), leading to his arrest.

Another Gelug sect leader, the Dalai Lama, took refuge in India with international support to inform the world of the atrocities in China-occupied Tibet. (ANI)
