New week, new trends: ABC, NBC and CBS evening news all had higher ratings than the previous week. However, one trend remained the same: ABC ranked first.
According to live data from Nielsen, ABC World News Tonight and David Muir The week of September 19, 2022 (the first week of the 2022-23 broadcast TV season) averaged 7.68 million viewers and 1.29 million adults aged 25-54. With this result, ABC’s nightly newscast has now won three consecutive season premiere weeks in the above measurements, beat NBC and CBS 199 times in the past 200 weeks in average total viewership, and 25 times in the past 130 weeks. -128 times among 54-year-old adults.

CBS Evening News Nora O’Donnell There were more than 4.57 million viewers on average last week, but only 781,000 adults aged 25-54. Compared to the previous week, total viewership was up 4%, with a steady 13% increase for adults aged 25-54, but last year’s total viewership was -4% and adults aged 25-54 were -7%.
