Geneva [Switzerland]March 24 (ANI): On the sidelines of the 52nd session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva on Friday, a book titled “War and Women” described war crimes during Bangladesh’s liberation war.

He spoke of the significance of the book, which bears witness to the brutality and sexual abuse of Bangladeshi women by the Pakistani army during the 1971 war.

Talking about the subject of the book and the war affecting women in Bangladesh, he said, “The book is based on what happened during the war in 1971, especially women – what they were really facing, the abuse and torture; even small children, underage girls were raped in many places.
