washington [US]April 22 (ANI): A 12-year-old Connecticut girl was shot in the head and three others were injured in a drive-by shooting, police said, the New York Post reported.
Secret Pierce, a student at Thurman L. Milner Middle School in Hartford, was in his car when the gunshot wounded him at around 8:45 p.m. Thursday, the Connecticut Post reported. The sound rang out, hitting her and three others.

Police said Secret was shot in the head and was taken to St. Francis Hospital in a critical condition, but died of his injuries at 7 a.m. Friday.
Mayor Luke Bronin told reporters: “This is a painful day for our community. My words to Secret’s mom and loved ones…we are all very sorry. Our thoughts are with them today in grief and prayers , in love.”
He said the other three had “extensive firearms and criminal histories,” according to the New York Post, and called on them to cooperate with police because they may know who fired the shots.
“It’s unacceptable not to share what you know about who took the life of a 12-year-old girl,” the mayor said. “It’s not fair to her family, it’s not fair to her loved ones, it’s not fair to her memory and it’s not fair to our community.”
Lieutenant Aaron Boisvert said authorities do not believe the shooter targeted Secret.
“At this point, the 12-year-old girl does not appear to have been involved in the incident nor was it the intended target,” Bowawitt was quoted as saying by the New York Post.
Police responding to the shooting found the injured girl in a parked vehicle while an injured 18-year-old man was on the sidewalk, Boisvert said.
The 18-year-old man is in stable condition, while two others — a 16-year-old boy and a 23-year-old man — arrived at the hospital on their own and are not life-threatening, he said, according to the New York Post.
“We did have some footage of a car flying by, heading north on Huntington Street, just as the gunshots erupted,” Bovawitt said. “We’re actively working on deciphering what vehicle that is so we can roll it out.” (Arnie)
