The travel experience on an Airbus A380 lasts just under 16 hours ($32 a minute), but for those who can afford the fare, there are a number of ways to spend the long flight. Among other amenities, passengers have access to a spa bathroom with exclusive soaps and creams and well-equipped wellness showers. Plus, passengers can get a good night’s sleep during the flight. In less than a minute, flight attendants can transform a flight suite into a full-fledged sleeping space with the comfort of a five-star hotel. (Mine teddy bear optional.)

Potentially off-limits for many: the suite has no windows because it’s in the middle of the plane. More entertainment is available in ‘The Loft’ lounge, which Virgin Atlantic has installed on its Airbus A350 aircraft between London/LHR and Los Angeles/LAX. The First Class Passenger Lounge can accommodate eight people. One-way fares in first class cost up to $22,000 ($32 per minute).
