Last June 18th, I attended a “Business Update” conference, which led me to Emirates. When I first heard this news, I was very shocked. I feel as if I have paid too much for the airline and my whole world is collapsing. I didn’t catch the last flight…I didn’t leave according to my wishes…I don’t have a backup plan…! However, I still try to insist that things will get better in a year.
Looking back now, I can confidently say that my situation has improved a lot. Although I still miss the sky, I am closer to achieving my goals and ambitions. For this, I am very grateful.
I occasionally share part of my journey Instagram The page and blog about my departure from Emirates, but I never really sat down to share my “full plan”. The fact is, I don’t actually have an idea except for some ideas! While trying to piece together the road map, I experienced every emotion you can imagine, and I don’t know what it will be like when I return to Canada.
When I started looking for the opportunity to go home, I met the opportunity to participate in the competition Miss Universe Canada Grand event. I thought about participating before, but I couldn’t afford it because of work. Considering that I no longer work, I was finally able to bring my platform of love and tolerance to the national stage and enter the top 10.
While in Miss Universe Canada, I am processing my application to join Canadian Armed Forces. I want to take the entrance exam, the goal is to meet the requirements of the intelligence officer or public affairs officer. Unfortunately for me, due to the pandemic, I cannot get the resources needed to succeed in these roles. Once the game is over and this reality hits, I don’t know what to do! I feel as if I’m back to square one.
Fortunately for me, after several weeks of rigorous job application LinkedIn On my parents’ sofa, I had the opportunity to return to Dubai to communicate.Since I moved to the Middle East, I have been with Intel He also serves as a mentor for aviation, tourism and tourism start-ups.I have also been with Maria Cristina Foundation In an exciting project (I hope to announce soon) and have started planning to complete an MBA degree in Aviation Business Management Emirates University In the next two years.
Perhaps the most exciting news in all of this is that I will represent Canada Miss Glamour 2021 October in Vietnam, now bring my platform Towards the international stage!
When I look back and reflect on all this, I realize that my redundancy is the driving force I need to move forward. It is the challenges I have faced so far that inspired me to grow, and the support and encouragement of my friends, family, and the #avgeek community helped me to persevere through hardships.
Thank you for your thoughts and blessings throughout the journey!
