Some news from the FIM World Supercross Championship (WSX). A new event in Abu Dhabi has been announced as November’s penultimate round, while the second-round French Grand Prix has also been “postponed indefinitely”.
The WSX website says:
“Due to unforeseen scheduling and logistical challenges, the FIM 2023 World Supercross French Grand Prix has been postponed until further notice.
Ticketmaster will be contacting all French Grand Prix ticket holders to receive a full face value refund as per Ticketmaster’s regulationsrefund policy.
WSX apologizes for any inconvenience caused by this inevitable schedule change and remains fully committed to bringing the FIM World Supercross Championship to France as soon as possible.
We thank you for your unwavering support and we look forward to bringing our fans an unforgettable French Grand Prix in the near future. More details will be provided later.

Australia – SX Global announced today that Yas Island, Abu Dhabi will host the penultimate round of the FIM World Supercross Championship (WSX) in 2023.
The WSX Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will take place over two days from 4-5 November 2023 at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island. This historic event will be the first time the region has hosted a World Supercross. Tickets will go on sale next month.
“We are very proud to announce the hosting of the WSX Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Yas Island is known for its standard of excellence in hosting some of the biggest events in the region, including other major events such as F1, UFC and NBA,” said SX Global Chief executive Adam Bailey said.
“This event will mark the region’s first supercross event and is a major milestone for both WSX and the sport of supercross. The fact that Abu Dhabi is home to our strategic investment partner, Mubadala Capital, makes it all the more special.”
