Yahsat names Al Ali as chief commercial officer

The UAE’s flagship satellite solutions provider, Al Yah Satellite Communications Company (Yahsat), has appointed Sulaiman Al Ali as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), effective 1 July 2022.

Al Ali will succeed Farhad Khan who has served as Yahsat COO for the past six years. Khan has been a key proponent of the Group’s expansion of YahClick’s business in existing and new markets.

Al Ali has been with the Yahsat Group since 2014, initially as Director of Yahsat Government Solutions before becoming Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Thuraya in 2019 and then Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in 2021.

Drive operational excellence

As CEO of Thuraya, Al Ali has been instrumental in driving operational excellence, delivering new and innovative solutions to customers in a post-pandemic environment, and building a platform for strong future growth.

Al Ali’s appointment is in line with Yahsat’s commitment to maximizing the combined strength of its broad range of technologies, services and capabilities to deliver greater value and innovation to customers around the world.
