Miral, Abu Dhabi’s leading creator of immersive destinations and experiences, announces that SeaWorld Abu Dhabi will open to the public on the 23rdroad May 2023. The next-generation sea life theme park will tell a compelling “One Ocean” story, revealing the interconnectedness between life on Earth and the oceans. SeaWorld Abu Dhabi will offer engaging and immersive family-friendly experiences through its eight unique themed areas, including up-close encounters with animals, thrilling rides, inspiring entertainment, and unparalleled dining and shopping experiences.
A collaboration between Miral and SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi’s eight realms can be explored across five interior floors spanning approximately 183,000 square meters2 Endless Ocean Domain will be home to the largest and most expansive multi-species aquarium in the world. The innovatively designed aquarium will hold more than 25 million liters of water and will be a dynamic habitat for more than 68,000 marine animals, including sharks, schools of fish, manta rays and turtles. Located on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, the sea life theme park will feature more than 100,000 marine animals, including 150 species of birds, fish, mammals and reptiles. Animal habitats in each area of SeaWorld Abu Dhabi are custom-designed using state-of-the-art technology and the highest standards of animal welfare.

Designed to standards set by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) and the Humane Society of the United States, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi’s next-generation marine habitats feature state-of-the-art design and technology, allowing animals to live alongside other fish in vibrant Birds and animals in their habitats, just as they are in nature. Other spaces have been designed to provide flexibility for animal welfare, allowing SeaWorld Abu Dhabi’s animal care team to recreate social seasonal patterns for animals such as walruses. Unique systems such as the Advanced Animal Lighting System (AALS) reproduce night/day and seasonal light cycles while also providing the health benefits of full-spectrum light, and the Animal Life Support System (ALSS) manages water quality to support a variety of fish Living alongside mammals in dynamic environments are some of SeaWorld Abu Dhabi’s cutting-edge features.

Based on the interconnectedness between all life on Earth and the oceans, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi will take visitors on a journey through its unified ONE OCEAN story, through the tropics, the rocky shores of the Pacific Northwest, the Arabian Gulf, the vast ocean and its more intense Small areas of ecosystems along the way. Located in the center of the park, the One Ocean realm is the gateway to the rest of the park and features One Epic Ocean, an immersive multimedia story played on 360-degree panoramic screens◦Screen. Visitors can also catch a glimpse of the Animal Care Center at Sea World Abu Dhabi. There, guests are welcome to visit veterinarians and animal care specialists who provide round-the-clock care, routine checks and, if necessary, treatment for the animals in the park.
Adjacent to Sea World Abu Dhabi, the park is home to Yas Island Research and Rescue at Yas Sea World Abu Dhabi, the region’s first dedicated marine research, rescue, rehabilitation and return center as part of advanced marine scientific knowledge Center and a major contributor to the conservation of marine life in the UAE and the wider region. The Yas Seaworld Research and Rescue Center opens in February 2023.
