6. The Lion King: November 16-December 10 at the Etihad Arena

25 years since its 1997 premiere, the blockbuster musical is making its Middle East debut in Abu Dhabi.

Based on the 1994 animated film, the story follows Simba’s adventures as he grows from an innocent lion cub to taking on the responsibilities of being a proud leader.

The show has been watched by nearly 110 million people worldwide and has permanent residency in New York, London, Madrid and Tokyo.

7. Art Abu Dhabi: November 16-20 at Manarat Al Saadiyat

Artwork will be sold in conjunction with new exhibitions, artist commissions and installations at the venue and across the emirate.

8. The Swedish Mafia: Etihad Park, Yas Island, Nov. 18

Swedish House Mafia was the first act announced to be performed as part of this year’s Abu Dhabi Formula 1 post-race concert.

The recently revamped EDM band will take the stage at Etihad Park on 18 November, the second in a four-night concert series.

Considered a supergroup, the trio consists of solo EDM stars DJ Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello.

Formed in 2008, the band initially disbanded in 2013 and received critical acclaim at the prestigious Coachella festival in the US in April.

9. Andrea Bocelli: November 24 at Etihad Park
