Boy, 13, leads police high-speed pursuit after car dealership theft

A 13-year-old boy was arrested after stealing a car from a local dealership in Elhurst, Illinois, sparking a high-speed pursuit.

The young man stole a 2020 Kia Forte from Wilkins Hyundai and called police after the car was found parked nearby in the early hours of the morning.

When they arrived at the scene, the teen quickly fled, forcing police to launch a pursuit, which was quickly abandoned due to safety concerns.

Hours later, they eventually tracked down the car and its driver, who was charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle, possession of tools for theft, criminal damage to property and fleeing or attempting to evade police.

Brazilian mechanic Benny Hill-style disaster class goes all the rage

A Brazilian mechanic has gone viral after surveillance footage showed his son-in-law twice dropping heavy metal bars while he was working.

Luiz Carlos Niegesk, 64, was furious when his daughter’s husband, André Luiz, couldn’t find the crossbar to open the door.

CCTV footage showed Andre twice trying to hold the metal bar in place, but it fell on Louis both times.

The pole hit his feet the first time, then fell on his head a second time.

The farcical moment was posted online and has been viewed more than 6 million times. Watch the footage for yourself here:

Gunman charged in shooting at used car dealership

A 28-year-old man was arrested after opening fire on a vehicle for sale at a Missouri used car dealership.

Surveillance video shows Daniel Hill pulling up outside a Leadbelt Auto Sales, getting inside and firing eight shots into the front of a Chevrolet Trax.

He then went back to his car to get a knife, which he used to slit the SUV’s tire.

The video was sent to police, who have now charged Hill with unlawful use of a weapon, first-degree property damage and two counts of second-degree damage to a motor vehicle.

His bond is set at $50,000.

Breakthrough Facial Reconstruction Technology Solves Unsolved Car Salesman Murder

Years later, the mysterious disappearance of a Portuguese car salesman is solved as police deploy groundbreaking facial reconstruction technology.

Carlos Alberto Videira do Órfão disappeared from Vigo, Spain, about five years ago, and police have no idea what might have happened to him.

However, after finding an unknown body, experts were able to use the latest technology to recreate the victim as he was alive.

They posted the photo on a poster and the victim’s sister was able to come forward and identify the car dealer.

Three men have now been charged with kidnapping and murder and are awaiting trial.

Car salesman goes on the run after murdering girlfriend

A used car salesman has been accused of running away after hiring a hitman to kill his ex-girlfriend after a breakup.

Stoney Williams, 41, has been charged with murder for hire in connection with the death of Courtney Owens, 34, with whom he owned Royal Court Motors near Atlanta.

Owens was killed at the scene in December when a masked man approached the showroom and shot her before fleeing.

The shooter was later identified as being linked to Wesley Vickers, but further investigation revealed that Williams arranged for Owens to be killed.

Police have so far been unable to track him down and say he is still at large.

Dealer boss under investigation for sexually assaulting female employee

The owner of a car dealership in India is under investigation after an employee made sexual harassment allegations.

The 37-year-old said she was “physically, mentally and financially harassed” by the owner of her aN car dealership in Shivajinagar, Pune.

In her complaint, she also said her boss and three others sexually assaulted her between December 2021 and July 2022.

The complaint was recorded by the local police, who produced a first information report on the matter.

Car dealer jailed for two-and-a-half years for deceiving customers

A former dealership owner has been jailed for two-and-a-half years after admitting defrauding buyers and sellers in his business.

John Solberg, 40, made more than $250,000 through a scam in which he consigned cars to people who listed them for sale on Craigslist.

Solberg would then be unable to pay the owners of the vehicles and provide false vehicle titles to buyers to cover his tracks.

He was later charged with 15 counts of fraud but agreed to a plea deal, 14 of which were dismissed.

Earlier this year, he pleaded guilty to one count of fraud and was jailed for 30 months. He must also pay the victims approximately $290,000 in restitution.
