- Khalifa Economic Zone Abu Dhabi (KEZAD) facility will boost national and international drug safety efforts
Abu Dhabi, UAE:- Hayat Biotech, a UAE-based biotech leader, has announced the completion of its purpose-built Life Sciences Park. The state-of-the-art facility is located in the Khalifa Economic Zone Abu Dhabi (KEZAD). The new facility is a research and development center for advanced clinical research, biotechnology research and development, and vaccine and drug production.
Hayat Biotech’s flagship facility has 55,000 square meters of greenfield production, a fully automated warehouse with a storage capacity of 72 million doses of product, a high final production capacity of 200 million doses per year, and global distribution space. The facility’s laboratories and technical workspaces support advanced research and development capabilities to deliver world-class science and the production of innovative therapeutics.
The completion of the site marks a major milestone in Hayat Biotech’s global expansion. The Life Science Park will reinforce Abu Dhabi’s position as a global leader in modern medicine and research, in line with the UAE’s long-term vision to build its biotechnology and life sciences capabilities.
His Excellency Abdul Rahman Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention of the UAE, Mr. Liu Jingzeng, Chairman of Sinopharm, and Mr. Peng Xiao, CEO of G42, attended the completion ceremony of the Life Science Park.
