4 brand new Abu Dhabi indoor adventure parks to keep you entertained this summer

[ad_1]

Cool fun out of the sun…

People like to act as if living in the UAE for the summer is a chore. Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, allow us to cross-examine the evidence. Less traffic, perfect weather for ice pools, summer lodging deals, and oh, and thousands of miles of indoor climate-controlled space to shop, play, dine, exercise, binge, save, thrive, and generally live your life best life. So if you’re staying for the summer, or at least some of it – these are some of our favorite new indoor spots, and we like them a lot.

adrenaline adventure

After opening doors for Eid – the adrenaline adventure is now in full swing, adrenal glands drained, functioning. The main deliverables are entertaining kids, heart-pounding thrills, and a wild three-level electric go-kart track. All packages start from Dhs99. There are activities like pit digging (for those who aren’t in the Girl Scouts or Boy Scouts, it’s spelunking), definitely not for the claustrophobic; (probably not for those with a fear of heights) – Roll Glider; exhilarating thrill rides; Bravery tests the stunt bag jump; elevated ropes course; Get a John Cena-like treatment inside; light music; a series of slides; multiple climbing walls; and more.

Al Qana, Khor Al Maqta. The basic “Explorer Pass” is Dhs135 and entitles you to six different experiences. @adrenarkue

Located in Al Qana, Pixoul is the largest gaming center of its kind in Abu Dhabi, including the latest developments in location-based entertainment (LBE). In addition to futuristic VR technology, the venue will also operate the region’s first certified esports (that’s competitive gaming for anyone new to it) academy. With the headset on, you can freely roam a variety of strategy, racing, and *finger gun* shooters alone or with a team.

Al Qana, Sunday to Thursday noon to midnight, Friday to Saturday noon to 2am, prices start from Dhs35. pixoulgaming.com

Snow Abu Dhabi

Snow Abu Dhabi looks set to be a real “ski run” for the $1.2 billion mega-project Reem Mall. You’re invited to elope to the ski slopes starting June 8, 2023, when the region’s largest snow park finally unleashes a sub-zero mischief avalanche in the capital. We can’t wait to slide through life, laugh, and make it good. There will be 12 exhilarating rides and 17 fascinating attractions spread across 10,000 square feet. The temperature will be regulated to a frigid 2ºC, and the slopes will be covered in a snow-covered coating to an average depth of about half a meter. Confirmed attractions include two giant slides, a gentle-sounding “Ice and Floes Toboggan Race” and a less dramatic-sounding “Grauppel’s Summit Escape.” Other rides include Entrance Plaza, Snow Owl Flight, Magic Carpet, Polar Express, Crystal Carousel and Ice and Floe Bumper Tubes, Troll Bowl, Drift Downhill Run, Snow Bunny Hill, and Magic Tree (served as central part of the storytelling aspect of the park). Snow Abu Dhabi’s dining experience includes The Lodge Restaurant, Grotto Amphitheatre, Ice Cafe, Party Room and VIP Room.

Reem Mall, pricing details to be announced soon. @snovauh

Abu Dhabi Summer Games

Traditionally, the mission of the Abu Dhabi Summer Games is to keep the capital’s residents active during the summer months by providing them with a huge 27,000 sqm of indoor air-conditioned cooling space at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC) to reap the benefits. We don’t have final confirmation on a date, or even signed word that it’s actually happening, but the evidence we have for a 2023 return is beyond doubt to us. First, it’s an annual fixture (there was even a special Ramadan edition earlier this year), and then there’s the banner that the site currently displays for 2023. Last year’s Abu Dhabi Summer Games lasted July and August and offered 25 pitches, a running track, huge indoor inflatable blitzkriegs, children’s areas, soccer, basketball, cricket, volleyball, badminton, Space for crossfit and specialty food and beverage outlets.

ADNEC. Staggered peak, off-peak and weekend use prices for 2022 stadium rentals. For example, the basketball court fee (per hour) is AED 90 during off-peak hours, AED 125 during peak hours (4pm to 11pm on weekdays) and AED 155 on weekends. Inflatafest tickets are AED 80 for two hours and AED 150 for the whole day. @adsummersports
