Four people were killed in a Russian missile attack on a hospital in the eastern city of Avdiivka on Monday, regional governor Pavlo Kyrylenko said.

“The Russians attacked the city this morning with missiles, they attacked a hospital,” the official wrote on Telegram.
He posted photos of a badly damaged three-storey brick building with a large piece missing from one side and rubble and debris strewn across the ground.
He called on residents of small cities in the industrial Donbas region to evacuate as soon as possible.
“Every day spent in the Donetsk region increases the risk of becoming a victim of Russian aggression,” he said.

Avdiivka is one of the main targets of Russia’s winter offensive, which aims to revive Moscow’s full-scale invasion launched in February 2022, but has made only minor territorial gains in the east.
