Car deliveries have always been a thing in the UAE. Whether it’s honking outside the grocery store for a bag of chips, or having shawarma and karaoke milk tea delivered to you from a roadside cafeteria, residents of the UAE are used to getting things delivered to their vehicles. But imagine having the full dining experience in your car.

What’s so alluring about drive-thru dining, you might ask? Well, first, the dining room has a long table with drink holders that extends from the driver’s seat window to the passenger seat window. It’s just the right length to allow you to roll up the windows and enjoy all that goodness in the comfort of your car’s air conditioning. No hands to balance and no messy drips.

Does this sound like your style? Here are four restaurants where you can enjoy drive-thru dining in Dubai:

Sho Shi Tuk Tuk Restaurant: Tuk Tuk has branches in Al Barsha, Warqa and Mirdif and serves a variety of dishes, including meshakeek and Emirati specialties such as regag and luqeimat. With its signature bright blue light, this food truck can be spotted from miles away. The restaurant also offers seafood dishes such as prawns, octopus and squid boxes. However, the best seller in the restaurant is their plate of mixed mussels. And if that wasn’t enough, waffles, pancakes, haba hamla and karaage tea are also on the menu.

Street Food Restaurants in Colaba: Located in Al Mizhar, this restaurant serves traditional Indian cuisine including chaat, masala dosa and puri. However, the highlight of the restaurant is their uniquely named drinks. The juices are named after Indian actors Amitabh, Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan and Madhuri. What’s more, the restaurant has a kind of chaat called Oman fries. With everything on the menu under AED 15, it’s a very economical option for eating out.

FF3: If you are looking for a celebration in comfort and privacy then this is the place for you. Whether it’s a birthday or a graduation, Khawaneej’s FF3 Cafe organizes a drive-thru celebration with cake, decorations, candles and balloons. You can also order your favorite coffee and drinks from this cafe. There is nothing like this for that special moment in your life.

4. Draw your meals: The food truck is located in Al Warqaa and serves authentic Iranian cuisine. From delicious Joojeh to Kubideh to Lari, there are many kinds of kebabs to choose from. The restaurant also serves authentic Persian rice and laban, both priced under AED 30. Beautifully presented and reasonably priced, this restaurant is a great place to visit.
