Abu Dhabi Illuminates with 4,800 Light Installations for UAE National Day

Abu Dhabi City Municipality has undertaken a radiant initiative for the 52nd National Day, adorning the streets with 4,800 luminous geometric shapes. These installations serve as a powerful symbol of unity, creating a joyous atmosphere for Emiratis and residents to celebrate.

Radiant Displays Across Key Locations

Installed across Abu Dhabi Island and its surroundings, the geometric shapes grace key locations, including Abu Dhabi Corniche Street, Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street, Sheikh Zayed Street, and Airport Street. The designs, diverse yet harmonious, embody the spirit and joy of the National Day celebrations.

Variety of Geometric Designs: National Day

The installations include 120 3D ground-level shapes, 120 ascending 3D shapes, 1,500 shapes forming the numeral ’52’ to honor the Union’s anniversary, and 320 luminous strings draping the streets like cascading curtains of light.

Expressive Messages and Traditional Elements

These geometric shapes proudly display celebratory texts, conveying messages such as “The flag has lived, oh our Emirates!” and “Long live the unity of our Emirates lives.” Phrases like “Long Live My Country,” “Our Power is Our Honour,” “Our Safe Land,” and “We Shall Protect You with Our Souls, My Country” resonate, capturing the essence of this significant occasion. The shapes also represent the country’s emblem, flag, and traditional Emirati elements.

Environmental Consciousness and Durability

Municipality teams ensured consistency in design, prioritizing safety and environmental friendliness. The decorations, constructed from high-quality insulating materials, are designed to withstand varying weather conditions, ensuring both safety and durability while being environmentally conscious.
