Milkshakes are delicious and loved by many. It’s not something you have very often, but when you do, it must be pretty awesome. Here are 5 of our favorite places to buy milkshakes in Abu Dhabi – these are definitely a sight for sore eyes, so make sure you’re not hungry when you look at them, or you’ll get an uncontrollable craving.

One of OG’s adopters of the “crazy milkshake” trend, this New York import burger is behind some of the biggest milkshakes on the market. Their boldest sugar-surge-inducing drinks include whole slices of cake, giant ice cream sandwiches, or whole brownies, just for fun. Not only do they look beautiful, but they taste really good too. Find them at the charming beachfront Mamsha Al Saadiyat branch. We recommend The Cookie Shake (Dhs65).
Burger 28
Burgers and shakes, is there a better double act? While Burger 28 is probably best known for its wild burgers topped with hot cheetos and volcanic cheese, they also happen to serve up some pretty intense bevvies. Take the Lotus and Nutella (Dhs32) milkshake, for example, which is wrapped in a variety of delicious sweet, sweet tooth, savory, fudgey, sticky, gooey toppings.

From Down Under to downtown Abu Dhabi, Australian Coffee Club’s shakes may not be the most outrageous in terms of size, but what they lack in ‘big drink energy’ they more than make up for in quality. The Creme Brulee Milkshake (Dhs38) Rich, decadent and topped with caramel popcorn, it’s the kind of drink you take home to see your mum. Or for a true Aussie treat, try Tim Tam biscuits.

This Yas Bay-based homage to American apple pie is all about the bulk and greater fun *gesture to bowling alleys and arcades*. They also have some weird shakes with funny pun names like the ‘Azkaban Pretzel’ (Dhs70), a salted caramel shake with dulce de leche, pretzels, marshmallows and peanuts Crisp, Ferrero Roche and whipped cream, resulting in a sugary halo rather than even a dementor that can blow you away. For adults? Try the ‘Oh fudge’ (Dhs70), which comes with ‘Irish cream’, whiskey shake and cherry brandy, all topped with oozing melted chocolate sauce.

One of America’s favorite confectionaries is serving up incredible country-sized dishes at its WTC mall in Abu Dhabi and, unsurprisingly, is offering guests the chance to add straws to some pretty awesome milkshakes. Chance. These creamy creatures appear in peacock-like splendor and are adorned with a variety of delicious desserts. Think chocolate ganache dripping down the side of a jar, covered in sprinkles and brownies topped with candy canes, seven-layer sugar, or even marshmallows. What’s more, you’ll really feel like a kid in a candy store.
