We’re very serious about this year’s event…
If we were to rank our favorite festivals of the year, Oktoberfest would come out on top. Such is the incredible Bavarian food, the socially acceptable wearing of leather pants and drindls, the huge hops of hops, being able to use words like schnitzel und strudel in context, and the oompah music and improv. We think it’s fair to say it’s still a long way from being a sausage.
With all that in mind, here are some of our favorite Abu Dhabi Oktoberfest celebrations.
Abu Dhabi City Golf Club
Abu Dhabi City Golf Club will host the capital’s flagship incarnation, Germany’s most famous harvest festival, the Hop Festival. It all takes place from October 27th to November 6th at “The Green,” an event space set amidst the verdant fairways of the city golf course. The 11-night event will feature “Abu Dhabi’s largest beer garden”, plenty of specialty “European meats” to “Munich” and rich oompah music.You can book a free pass for the à la carte experience, or have the most OK of Saturday Bavarian-themed Saturday brunch (1pm-4pm) with set menus from AED 275 (AED 375).

Appaloosa
The trusted sports bar Appaloosa at the Marriott Hotel Alforsan will top Bayern Munich and the hotel’s Bundesliga Oktoberfest festivities, and it’s fair to say it’s the only venue in the game, but trophies are trophies.You can dig all week fork (Fork) Step into a delicious German food classic, raise a mug of Weissbier, and pay homage to the holiday spirit. There will be a special Bavarian BBQ on weekends with unlimited meat in the open space for just AED 99.

Headlining the Oktoberfest festivities at this Centro Capital Centre pub includes a selection of five limited-edition menu items including German sausages, spätzle and lamb shanks. Saadiyat Beach Golf Club
This seaside meadow and sand really feels like a great place to throw an Oktoberfest party.Beginning September 29th and continuing until October 9th, the festivities Fräuleins and mOneInside will Head to the Dolphin Lawn, including a promotional offer on German beer and snack combos (from AED 79).

The Westin Abu Dhabi
Golf courses and Oktoberfest seem to be the one thing in Abu Dhabi this year, we get it, the green hills of Bavaria, the edelweiss vibe.The Westin’s own version is taking place at the Retreat bar, which features svery good The outdoor patio overlooks the course’s winding greens. The limited-time menu includes Pretzel Baskets, Sauerkraut, German Potato Salad, Chili Cheese Kleiner, Grilled Currywurst, Grilled Chicken, Dumplings, Wiener Schnitzel, Traditional Licensing, and Apple Pie. Wash it down with a mug of amber nectar and the warm knowledge you have, Teutonic efficiency saves you 20% of your total bill (assuming you’re wearing a dress or leather pants).
