MANILA – South Korean company MLD Entertainment revealed Friday that five former contestants of the survival show “Dream Maker” have signed with MLD Entertainment.
MLD Entertainment said in a tweet that Thad Sune, Wilson Budoy, Jom Aceron, Josh Labing-isa and Macky Tuason will be in training and expected to debut this year.
Five artists made it to the “Dream Makers” finale, but failed to earn a spot for newly formed group HORI7ON, also managed by MLD Entertainment.
“Thad, Wilson, Jom, Josh L. and Macky, who were active as ‘Dream Makers,’ signed an exclusive contract with MLD Entertainment after the successful completion of the Korean-Filipino joint talent show ‘Dream Maker,'” it said.
The South Korean company has not yet confirmed whether it will also be managed by ABS-CBN.
MLD Entertainment hopes that people will still support HORI7ON’s debut. They will also make their debut after winning “Dream Maker” this year.
“The five members who have signed an exclusive contract will focus on training and preparing their debut album with the goal of debuting this year. After (HORI7ON), please look forward to it and cheer for these five talented boys.”
HORI7ON was formed through the local survival program “Dream Maker” and is jointly managed by ABS-CBN and MLD Entertainment, the company behind K-pop groups Momoland and Lapillus.
They consist of Vinci Malizon, Marcus Cabais, Jeromy Batac, Kim Ng, Winston Pineda, Reyster Yton and Kyler Chua.
The team will fly to South Korea for further training before their official debut, preferably in July.
