Stylish Japanese concept Otoro opened in Abu Dhabi’s Al Qana district in April, making waves in the city with its ‘less is more’ approach to fine dining. The second standalone branch of BB Social Dining, launched in Dubai’s DIFC district five years ago, will soon open at Rosewood Abu Dhabi. True to its original concept, with European and Asian influences, the new BB Social Dining by Chef and Co-Founder Alexander Stumpf will introduce Abu Dhabi diners to its signature snacks, buns, bowls and grilled snacks.

The restaurant is taking its ethos seriously – in the words of co-founder Spero Panagakis: “There is nothing we are more proud of than sourcing local tomatoes and cucumbers from our bio farm and developing our menu, while Before this, it simply didn’t exist. The restaurant’s interior is decorated with artwork inspired by the Italian landscape – ports, palaces, lakes and Roman ruins. Let’s is open all day and serves a fusion of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes. The space is home to a bakery, while the open kitchen showcases a traditional clay oven and a glass case showcases homemade pastries and desserts. Menu highlights include Let’s Balaleet, burrata za’atar flatbread, musakhan Pizza, tart aseeda and faloda milk cake. An olive tree takes centre stage in the 55-seat restaurant’s main dining area, creating a sense of calm in this serene setting away from the city.

Em Sherif Sea Café debuted in the UAE in October, with waterfront views from the Rosewood Hotel on Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi.
