JOHNSTON, Pa. — Keep an eye out for the zombies taking over downtown Johnstown.
You in Flood City will host the seventh annual Johnstown Zombie Crawl Saturday at the Stadium Pub & Grille at 101 Washington Street in Johnstown.
Registration is from 7-8pm, during which time participants will receive an official Johnstown Zombie Crawl wristband.
Crawl venues include Stadium Pub & Grille, Balance Restaurant, Harrigan’s Cafe and Wine Deck, Fetz’s Sports Pub, Lucy’s Place, Cargo Terminal, Stone Bridge Brewing Company and Rocky’s Tavern.
“It’s been growing and people are showing up in zombies from head to toe, which is funny,” said Tasha Adams, director of You in Flood City.
Participating bars are going all out, offering specialty food and beverages and entertainment, Adams said.
“The bar does a really good job of mixing specialty drinks, they’re all decorated with a theme, and the bartenders are great every time,” she said.
Throughout the night, creepers can board a bus that will stop at each of the eight venues until midnight.
Proceeds will benefit you in Flood City events.
“We want people to see downtown as a place to come here to enjoy and spend time, because new organizations and businesses pop up every week,” Adams said.
You in Flood City also hosts the annual Johnstown Mardi Crawl in the spring.
“It’s exciting to plan different activities that everyone in our community can get involved in,” Adams said.
“We’re really trying to give our community the tools to experience the event, but they want them to come back to the venue at other times to dine, drink or have fun.”
The fee is $10 per person and includes unlimited bus rides, no venue fees, beverage and food specials, and live entertainment.
Participants must be at least 21 years old.
