8 upcoming shows in Abu Dhabi

Between music festivals, comedy shows, pantomimes and Broadway tours, Abu Dhabi has a lot to look forward to in the coming months. These are just the eight shows we’re most looking forward to seeing.

Pinocchio

Pinnochio, the theatrical production starring a dream antagonist of Uno, is coming to Abu Dhabi this October. We follow the handmade puppet of Italian toy maker Geppetto, who is resurrected and becomes a “real boy”. This “OG Toy Story” has a warning, when the boy – Pinnochio tells a lie, *spoiler alert* his nose grows. This fun family day will take place at the Erth Theatre this October, with tickets starting from just AED 75.

Disney on Ice

Happening in October, this chapter of Dynasty Magic is called Disney on Ice Gift Mickey and FriendsProduced by Feld Entertainment Inc., it costs just AED 84, but provides the right fuel for lasting memories. The show features a highly innovative interactive experience that allows viewers to interact with Mickey and his pals using – aptly named – a mouse pad. That means you can play a supporting role on the show and help the gang through the twists and turns of this highly animated live-action adventure.

Club Social 2022 It will take place on the rolling green pastures of Yas Links Golf Course on Yas Island from October 28th to October 30th. Music lovers can look forward to three days of open-air bashing, as well as yet-to-be-announced dining adventures and fun activities. Live and loud, confirmed headlines so far include British pop-rock indie band Kaiser Chiefs; Shock G-unit, Clean Bandit; and Liam Gallagher, frontman of legendary British band Oasis.

Hakuna matata, Emiratis – Award-winning stage show edition lion king Coming soon to the UAE, tickets are now on sale. Magic Phil’s Starlight Tour

Also at the Erth Theatre this November, Phil the Magician is leading his audience on an iconic rampage through a narrative, with on-stage pit stops that are mesmerizing and downright goofy whimsy. Expect winter/Christmas themes, occasional puns sailing over the kids’ heads, and healthy holiday cheer.

Aladdin

There’s no shame in admitting you like pantomime – oh no, no. And they’re no more traditional than Aladdin’s story. Elves, lights, skullduggery and comedy puppets – this is an absolute must for families around Christmas. If you’re looking for a bargain booth, it’s right behind you.

Jimmy Carr – stand up

controversial lolsmith Jimmy Carr Coming to Yas Island in Abu Dhabi to indulge in the New Year’s blues. The British comedian will perform his Very Funny 2.0 World Tour at the Etihad Arena on Saturday 7th January 2023. It will be Carr’s first show in Abu Dhabi and one of 280 shows he will tour in 2022 and 2023. If you like some great British satire, adventurous humor or stinging one-liners, you’ll be glad to hear tickets are now on sale.

Kevin Bridges – Stand Up Show

legendary scottish comedian Kevin Bridges Will head to the Etihad Arena on Saturday 21 January 2023 to bring his Overdue Catch up world tour to the UAE.Probably best known for his regular appearances and hilarious comments on British TV shows, including Will I lie to you?, do i have news for youBridges was also in live in apollo and Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow.
