Plane crashes in California, killing six World News

A small business jet crashed and burned in a field near an airport outside Los Angeles early Saturday, killing all six people on board, local and federal authorities said.

The FAA said the plane, a Cessna C550 business jet, took off from Las Vegas about 85 miles (136.79 GMT) south of Los Angeles at around 4:15 a.m. (0815 GMT). km) crashed near French Valley Airport. a statement.

The details of the passengers are not yet known.

Radar data from flight-tracking website FlightAware showed only one business jet was flying from Las Vegas to the French Valley at the time. The plane circled around the site before landing.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, where the French Valley Airport is located, said officials found the plane completely engulfed in flames in a field after the accident, and six passengers were pronounced dead at the scene.

The FAA said the National Transportation Safety Board would investigate the accident.
