DUBAI: Residents of the UAE expect fog and dust in Abu Dhabi. The skies in Dubai are mostly clear today, with light rain expected in parts of Sharjah.
According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), the day will be partly cloudy with occasional dust. There are clouds and light rain in parts of the east and north, and eastward convective clouds may form in the afternoon. Some coastal areas will be wet overnight and Tuesday morning with possible mist.
The Meteorological Department has issued red and yellow fog alerts for parts of Abu Dhabi. Fog has been reported over Tariff, Bada Al Dafas, Hamra in the Al Dhafra region and Abu Al Abyad Island in Abu Dhabi.
Maximum temperatures in the interior of the country are expected to be between 44 and 49°C. Temperatures will reach 40 to 45°C in coastal areas and islands, and 33 to 37°C in mountains.
Yesterday at 5.30am, the minimum temperature in Barakah, Dhafra district was 24.9°C.
The maximum temperature reached 49.4°C in Al Dhafra district Hamim at 2.15pm.
Humidity will be as high as 70-90% along the coast and islands, and 65-85% in inland areas.
Slight to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds are expected during the day, with occasional dust blowing of 10 – 25 km/h and up to 35 km/h.
Seas in the Arabian Gulf are relatively calm, while seas in the Sea of ​​Oman are moderate to rough.
