Tom Holland rejects Hollywood, stating, “Not my thing

Tom Holland, the star of “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” openly discusses his feelings towards the entertainment industry. In a recent interview on Jay Shetty’s podcast “On Purpose,” the 27-year-old actor shares his perspective, stating, “I’m a big fan of filmmaking, but Hollywood just isn’t for me. It can be a scary industry, and while I enjoy being a part of it and interacting with it, I’m always seeking ways to distance myself and live a more normal life if possible.”

During the podcast, Holland also reflects on the challenges of maintaining his identity in Hollywood, noting, “I’ve witnessed many people lose themselves in this industry. It’s an ongoing struggle to stay true to who you are. I’ve had friends from my upbringing who haven’t been affected by it, but unfortunately, I’ve lost touch with them. For me, it’s important to focus on what brings me happiness—my family, my friends, my hobbies like woodworking, golf, and philanthropy.”

Having started his acting career at the age of nine, Tom Holland gained overnight fame with his role in “Spider-Man: Homecoming” (2017). It’s worth mentioning that he is currently in a relationship with Zendaya, the star of “Euphoria.
