Virgin Hyperloop revealed that as part of the FLOW pavilion at DP World Expo 2020, they will display a full-size Hyperloop cargo pod and a sectioned passenger pod.
“Historically, the continuous flow of goods has driven innovation in the transportation industry, and now more than ever we need to continue to make the industry face the future,” said Sultan bin Sulayem, chairman of DP World and Virgin Hyperloop. “Hyperloop is ready to revolutionize the global on-demand logistics market, and we are excited to share our vision for this technology at the DP World FLOW pavilion at Expo 2020.”
Upon arrival at the FLOW Pavilion, visitors will see a full-scale replica of a commercial cargo pod, nearly 10 meters long. After entering the exhibition hall, guests will be able to sit in a sectioned passenger cabin with production intent to see what the future Hyperloop journey will look like. Around the pod, visitors will learn more about the technology and its future impact through interactive displays, videos and models.
“For centuries, the World Expo has been demonstrating cutting-edge innovations, so we are honored to be able to showcase Hyperloop technology on this global stage with DP World,” Josh Giegel, CEO and co-founder of Virgin Hyperloop. “I hope that tourists can imagine that in the near future, they will become passengers of the commercial hyperloop system in the Gulf region and other regions.”
The pavilion will open on October 1, 2021 as part of the 2020 World Expo and will last until March 31, 2022. The exhibition is open to the public from 10 am every day.Can buy tickets here.
