Emirates, the main partner and official airline of Expo 2020 Dubai, today launched an eye-catching A380 camouflage, dedicated to further spreading the message of the global event on a global scale.

A bold departure from the airline’s traditional white and gold painting scheme, this bright blue aircraft painting uses large-scale graphics in vivid green, orange, pink, purple and red throughout the fuselage and extends all the way to the rear of the aircraft. And the tail wing is intertwined with the unique circular Expo 2020 Dubai logo. The special “Dubai Expo” and “Become Part of Magic” messages run through the sides of the A380’s fuselage. The hood also carries information and event dates for Expo 2020 Dubai.

In addition, the recently appeared brave Burj Khalifa stunt actress Viral Emirates Advertising, Carrying invitations to visit events on both sides of the plane, and holding a message board with the words: “See you there” and “Dubai Expo 2022 October to March”.

The iconic Emirates Red Belly brand can only be seen when the plane flies overhead. The new A380 paint is designed, painted, produced and installed in-house by the Emirates team. The uniform is not just a decal, but a complete paint project, and is the largest one carried out by the airline to date. The paint on the aircraft A6EEU selected for painting was completely peeled off. After that, eleven colors were painted on the plane in a careful and methodical manner. The “wild spray method”, electrostatic spray guns and traditional cup guns were used to paint different colors, using more than 2,500 square meters of tracking and masking materials. All templates and tracking guides were produced in-house by the airline’s UV printer and graphics workshop, and it took a lot of time to produce and complete. The Emirates Engineering Aircraft Appearance Center team cleverly tackled the challenge of fine-tuning contours and masks to transform the design into a 3D aircraft, in addition to managing the contrasting colors and complex background tones in this unique uniform.

The process of painting uniform design and decals took 16 days and 4,379 man-hours to complete.

Emirates has a long tradition of displaying special paints on its Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 fleets. In the past five years alone, the airline’s team has brought to life nearly 50 unique designs and 100 paints. The special uniform helps to express special respect and inherits the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan; brings sports fans closer to their favorite clubs, players and global events; spreads Information on tolerance and multiculturalism in the UAE; raising awareness of illegal wildlife trade, etc. The innovative work done on uniforms allows travelers, aircraft observers and the general public to look up to the sky for inspiration.

The new Dubai Expo 2020 uniforms will appear on three Emirates A380 aircraft to help tell the story intuitively and reiterate the theme of one of the largest global events that will take place since the pandemic began. The unique blue Expo aircraft will join 40 other special aircrafts for Expo 2020 Dubai. Since 2018, these aircraft have flew to more than 130 destinations in the Emirates network.

The new uniform will go to Los Angeles on September 29, which will amaze passengers and promote the information of Expo 2020 Dubai.

The 2020 Dubai World Expo is the first ever World Expo to be held in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA) region. It will be held from October 2021 to March 2022. Its six-month program is full of experiences suitable for all ages and interests, including a rich theme week, entertainment and entertaining. Art and culture lovers as well as food and technology lovers can explore exhibitions, workshops, performances, live performances and more. Tourists can also visit their national pavilions to experience the taste of their hometown or experience other 190 national pavilions. Emirates will display its own pavilion, focusing on the future of commercial aviation.
