Pakistan’s Imran Khan Jailed for State Secrets

Pakistan Investigates Jailed Ex-PM Imran Khan for Leaking State Secrets former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, currently in jail, is under investigation for allegedly leaking classified state secrets along with three aides.

The case involves a classified cable from Pakistan’s ambassador in Washington, with Khan accused of making it public.

Khan contends that the cable was part of a conspiracy to oust him due to his visit to Moscow before Russia’s actions in Ukraine, which both Washington and the military deny.

Khan is serving a three-year sentence in a graft case and is banned from politics for five years. Aides and the ex-foreign minister are also implicated, facing arrests and custody.
