Filipina domestic worker found dead with stab wounds in Saudi.

A 32-year-old Filipina domestic worker, Marjorette Garcia, who was due to return home this month upon contract completion, has tragically died in Saudi Arabia. Her body was discovered with multiple stab wounds, and the exact cause of her death remains unknown, as reported by Philippine authorities and local media.

Investigations are now in progress, with senior officials urging a Senate probe to ensure justice and enhance the protection of migrant workers.

Marjorette Garcia last communicated with her family on September 14, appearing happy at the time. However, her family lost contact with her the next day, and their concerns grew after three days of silence. They sought information from her friends and social media.

The Garcia family received the devastating news of Marjorette’s death last week, discovering that her body had been in the morgue since September 27. The circumstances surrounding the death of the overseas Filipino worker (OFW) remain unclear, although reports suggest she was stabbed.

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) confirmed Marjorette’s death on Monday and pledged full assistance to her family. The DMW, along with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, is collaborating with the Philippine Embassy and local authorities in an ongoing investigation.

Both Philippine and Saudi authorities are cooperating on the investigation, and a suspect has reportedly been apprehended, though the circumstances of the incident are yet to be determined by the police, according to local media.
