Food safety authorities in Abu Dhabi have ordered the closure of a restaurant after inspectors found repeated violations that posed a serious risk to public health. According to the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA), the eatery — identified as Al Domyati Snacks – L.L.C – O.P.C (branch) — was shut down following multiple breaches of food safety regulations. The restaurant is located in Al Aamerah in the Al Ain region. The closure was effective immediately.
Officials stated that the closure decision was taken after the establishment failed to comply with Law No. (2) of 2008, which governs food safety standards in Abu Dhabi. Despite repeated inspections and warnings, the restaurant did not implement the necessary corrective measures required to meet health and safety guidelines. The non-compliance was persistent.

Earlier in the same week, Amina Restaurant on Zayed the First Street was also ordered to close after inspection reports revealed ongoing violations and an inability to meet required safety standards. Authorities described the conditions at the restaurant as posing a “serious risk to public health,” prompting swift enforcement action. The risk was deemed imminent.
Additionally, Desert Breeze Cafe in the Al Dhafra region was recently closed for similar reasons. Officials said the cafe had repeatedly violated food safety regulations and failed to take corrective action despite warnings, further highlighting a pattern of non-compliance among certain establishments. The crackdown is ongoing.
These repeated closures underline the strict stance taken by Abu Dhabi authorities when it comes to food safety. The ADAFSA conducts regular inspections of food outlets across the emirate to ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
