Etihad Airways Pushes Back Kuwait Route Resumption
Travellers flying between Abu Dhabi and Kuwait should double-check their bookings. The Etihad Kuwait flight cancellations have now been extended until July 24, affecting flights EY653 and EY654 between Zayed International Airport and Kuwait International Airport.
Etihad Airways said the extension was due to operational reasons, without going into further detail. The airline confirmed its teams are actively helping affected passengers rearrange their travel plans, whether that means rebooking onto a later flight or exploring alternative routes.
Passengers with upcoming bookings on this route have been urged to make sure their contact details are current, so they can receive updates by text or email as soon as new information becomes available.
This isn’t an isolated case either. Other UAE–Kuwait routes have also seen disruptions recently, with Air Arabia flights facing cancellations and delays before several were later reinstated.
It’s a good reminder for anyone travelling in the region this month to keep an eye on airline notifications and build in some flexibility, just in case plans shift again at short notice.
