UAE Fuel Prices August 2026: Petrol And Diesel Rates Go Up
Motorists across the country will be paying more at the pump starting Saturday. The UAE Fuel Price Committee announced on Friday, July 31, that UAE fuel prices August 2026 will rise for all grades of petrol and diesel, reversing the small dip seen in July.
Here are the new rates:
| Fuel Type | August 2026 Price (Dh/Litre) | July 2026 Price (Dh/Litre) | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Super 98 | Dh3.60 | Dh3.40 | +Dh0.20 |
| Special 95 | Dh3.49 | Dh3.29 | +Dh0.20 |
| E-Plus 91 | Dh3.41 | Dh3.21 | +Dh0.20 |
| Diesel | Dh3.80 | Dh3.60 | +Dh0.20 |
The UAE has followed a monthly fuel pricing system since deregulating the sector in 2015, with rates adjusted according to global oil market movements. Prices are typically announced on the last day of each month and take effect the following day.
The increase comes as the region continues to feel the effects of ongoing tensions tied to the US-Iran standoff, which has kept global energy markets on edge for much of the year.
Officials say the pricing mechanism is designed to keep local rates aligned with international benchmarks rather than fixed government subsidies.
Residents who rely on private vehicles are advised to plan fuel budgets accordingly heading into August.
