Emirates Airline Upgrades 2026: New Routes, Headrests And Rewards

Emirates Airline Upgrades 2026: What’s New For Passengers This Year

Emirates airline upgrades 2026 have brought a wave of changes for travellers, from extra flights to new in-flight comfort features.

Since the start of the year, the Dubai-based carrier has added a second daily flight to Colombo, three daily flights each to Phuket, Nairobi and Cape Town, and additional weekly services to Accra, giving passengers more choice and flexibility on some of its busiest routes.

The airline has also upgraded aircraft on its popular Taipei route and improved services on flights to Delhi, part of a broader push to strengthen connections across Asia and Africa.

Comfort is getting an upgrade too. Emirates says all of its Airbus A350 aircraft will be fitted with the new U-Dream headrest by the end of the year, with the same design already built into all 270 Boeing 777X jets on order.

From 2027, the airline will begin retrofitting the headrest across its Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 fleets as well.

For loyalty members, a limited-time Skywards Miles promotion running until September 30 will let passengers earn extra points on everyday spending, shopping and travel, including through Dubai Duty Free and the airline’s official store.

Emirates has also launched a dedicated rail booking website, letting Skywards members use their miles for train tickets across more than 12,000 destinations in Europe.
