IIT Delhi Abu Dhabi Admission Drive: Special Entrance Test Set for August 12
The IIT Delhi Abu Dhabi admission drive has entered its final stage for students seeking undergraduate places for the 2026-27 academic year.
IIT Delhi–Abu Dhabi opened a special admission drive for UAE nationals, giving eligible students another opportunity to apply for its B.Tech programmes. The application deadline was August 7 at 5pm Gulf Standard Time, according to the institute.
The next major step is the Combined Admission Entrance Test (CAET). The special-drive examination is scheduled for Wednesday, August 12. Candidates can download their test cards between August 8 and August 12.
The institute offers four-year B.Tech programmes designed around science, technology, research and practical problem-solving. Its current undergraduate programmes include Computer Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Energy Engineering.
The IIT Delhi Abu Dhabi admission drive is part of the institute’s wider effort to expand access to IIT-level education in the UAE. The Abu Dhabi campus combines IIT Delhi’s academic approach with a focus on innovation and emerging technologies.
For Indian nationals living in India, the admission route is different. They must qualify through JEE (Advanced) and apply through the JoSAA seat-allocation process.
The August 12 test will now be the key date for candidates who applied through the special drive.
