Expo 2020 Dubai: the opening of the Israeli pavilion is exciting-News

The opening ceremony was presided over by Israel’s Minister of Tourism Jol Razvozov and the Israeli Pavilion’s Chief Representative Elazar Cohen.

The Israel Pavilion officially opened at the 2020 Dubai World Expo on Thursday night. A grand ceremony was held at the ceremony. UAE celebrities and Israeli officials attended the event.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Israel’s Minister of Tourism Jol Razvozov and the Israeli Pavilion’s Chief Representative Elazar Cohen.

Dr. Ahmad Belhoul, Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and SMEs in the UAE, Najeeb Mohammed Alali, Executive Director of the Office of the Commissioner of Expo 2020, and Eli Cohen, Secretary General of KKL-JNF also delivered speeches at the ceremony.

Minister Razvozov said in his opening speech: “I am really happy to stand here as a representative of the Israeli people and the Israeli government to participate in the opening ceremony of the Israel National Pavilion at the 2020 Dubai World Expo.

“A lot of things have happened here for the first time. The World Expo was held in an Arab country for the first time in history. This is also the first time that an Israeli pavilion has been set up in a large-scale exposition on Arab land. This is the largest in history between the United Arab Emirates and Israel. One of the sound and most powerful cooperation steps.”

“Peace allows us to forge a new reality in the Middle East and bring prosperity, security and stability to all. We believe that in order to welcome a better tomorrow, we should choose actual positive actions today. Therefore, I am very happy to invite you Everyone and every visitor, participant and host of this World Expo come to visit our country. Come and see for yourself what Israel is. Tourism allows us to explore, learn from each other and adapt to each other. Tourism It will build a bridge to peace for mankind!”

The event started with a traditional Mezuzah ceremony hosted by Rabbi Levi Duchman. The Mezuzah Case was specially produced and designed by the famous Jewish artist David Roytman for the 2020 Dubai Expo. Hanging mezuzah on the doorpost is an ancient Jewish custom. It fulfills the biblical commandment in Deuteronomy and writes the words of the Lord on the doorpost of the house. This was followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Minister of Tourism and Commissioner-General.

“Tonight, by placing Mezuzah at the entrance of our pavilion, we have turned it into our home. I have been dreaming of this day for many years. At this historical moment, I want to thank the Israeli and UAE governments for making this dream. Come true,” Cohen said.

“Our pavilion is open to everyone. Although there are many things that divide us, common challenges and hope for’tomorrow’ unite us. Together, we can make our future and our tomorrow better ,” he added.

The Minister of Tourism, who arrived in the UAE on Wednesday, visited the UAE and Russia pavilions, as well as the United States pavilion in his country of birth.

The event ended with a performance by Hamalgezot, an Israeli band that plays traditional Israeli music, and Israeli DJ Abass for about 250 guests.
