UAE President Germany Visit Begins September 9
UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will begin a state visit to Germany on Wednesday, September 9, as the two countries look to strengthen their long-standing strategic partnership.
During the UAE President Germany Visit, Sheikh Mohamed will meet German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. Discussions will focus on strengthening cooperation between the UAE and Germany, particularly in economic and development sectors.
The visit comes as both countries continue to expand cooperation across several areas, including investment, energy, technology, innovation, industry, education, culture and tourism. The UAE and Germany have maintained diplomatic relations since 1972, while their strategic partnership was established in 2004.
Economic cooperation is expected to remain an important part of the discussions. Both sides have been working to identify new opportunities for trade, investment and technology cooperation, while building on existing partnerships between businesses and institutions in the two countries.
The UAE and Germany will also discuss regional and international developments and issues of mutual concern. Their talks are expected to underline the importance of regional stability, international cooperation and diplomatic solutions to global challenges.
The visit follows recent high-level engagement between the two countries. Sheikh Mohamed met Chancellor Friedrich Merz on the sidelines of the G7 Summit in France in June, where the leaders discussed bilateral relations, development cooperation and developments in the Middle East.
The September 9 state visit is expected to provide another opportunity for the UAE and Germany to deepen their strategic partnership and explore new areas of cooperation.
