The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry is leading a high-level UAE business delegation to South Korea to expand trade, investment and business cooperation between the two countries.

The Abu Dhabi Chamber announced the visit on September 16, 2026. The delegation is visiting South Korea from September 15 to 17 as part of Abu Dhabi’s efforts to strengthen ties with major international economic partners.

More than 88 public and private sector organisations are represented in the delegation. They include the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, Abu Dhabi Investment Office, Abu Dhabi Global Market, Hub71, KEZAD, Emirates Global Aluminium, Etihad Airways, Masdar City and Core42.

The visit focuses on sectors that are important to the future economy. These include artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing, energy, healthcare, water, education, space and agricultural technology.

A key part of the visit is the Abu Dhabi Investment Forum – Seoul, held on September 16. The forum brings together Korean investors, business leaders and decision-makers with representatives from Abu Dhabi’s government and business community. It aims to highlight investment opportunities in the emirate.

UAE-Korea trade exceeded US$19.8 billion in 2025, according to Abu Dhabi officials. Non-oil trade reached US$6.9 billion, increasing 4.5% from the previous year. Korean companies operating in Abu Dhabi also increased by 5.8% during 2025.

The two sides are also working through the newly established UAE-Korea Joint Business Council. Its working groups cover areas such as AI, biotechnology, digital content, energy and advanced manufacturing.

Plans are also underway for a dedicated industrial zone in Abu Dhabi for Korean manufacturing companies.
