The Festival Plaza Book Club gathering is a place where many things happen. Not only can bibliophiles from the UAE communicate with each other, but there are also great hosts and speakers to help facilitate the dialogue that takes place.

Meet the speaker
For animal lovers in the crowd, you will only like Brendon Whittington Jones (pictured on the left), because all he wants to do is save the animals-no matter where they are.
He is the author of two books about animals and wild animals: African wild dog: on the front line with The accidental invasion of the Baghdad Zoo.
Brendan grew up on the outskirts of Cape Town, South AfricaCurrently working in the UAE Sharjah Environment and Protected Areas Authority.
The second guest speaker is equally important.As a result of October’s commitment to raising awareness of breast cancer, the Dubai Festival Square Book Club is helping to articulate this very important theme Invite breast cancer survivor Ingrid Valles (pictured on the right) to share her first-hand experience.
